Intuitive Recruitment is partnering with a leading real estate fund manager to appoint a Vice President, Tax to join its high-performing Sydney team. Reporting to senior finance leadership and working closely with investment, capital transactions and executive management teams, the Vice President will play a critical role in supporting the tax strategy, governance and transaction activity of the organisation. The role offers broad exposure across: Real Estate Funds Property Investments Fund Structuring Transactions & Capital Markets Tax Governance & Risk Management Tax Compliance Oversight and review This is a highly commercial position operating at the intersection of tax, funds management, investment execution and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic tax advice across acquisitions, disposals, developments, restructures and capital transactions. Support investment execution through transaction structuring, tax due diligence and risk assessment. Advise on domestic and cross-border investment structures, including trust and fund vehicles. Partner with investment and capital teams on new fund launches, capital raisings and portfolio initiatives. Review and advise on complex transaction documentation, legal agreements and investment structures. Lead tax governance frameworks, risk management processes and tax control environments. Oversee tax compliance, tax accounting and reporting obligations across multiple funds and investment vehicles. Manage relationships with external tax advisers, legal counsel, auditors and regulatory stakeholders. Support ATO reviews, audits and tax governance initiatives. Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across the tax function. Provide commercially focused tax advice to senior executives and investment committees. About You You will be an accomplished tax professional with extensive experience gained within a leading professional services firm, legal practice, property group or investment management business. The successful candidate will likely possess: 10 years' Australian taxation experience. Deep expertise across trust taxation, corporate tax, GST and investment structures. Strong experience supporting transactions, restructures and complex tax advisory matters. Exposure to real estate funds, property investment, private capital or alternative investment structures. Proven ability to partner with senior executives and investment professionals. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice.
